about me

I am a graduate engineer of the ENSIIE (Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Informatique pour l'Industrie et l'Entreprise). I obtained my PhD in the Network planning Economics and Optimization team at Orange Labs in Paris, and in the Metaheuristics, Optimization, and Application team at University of Angers. My advisors were Jean-Luc Lutton (Orange Labs) and Jin-Kao Hao (LERIA, University of Angers).

My thesis deals with the iBGP network protocol. iBGP spreads IP routes inside a backbone network. Unfortunately, iBGP may provoke well-known routing inconsistencies. In my thesis, I propose several approaches able to detect bad iBGP network design and compute robust iBGP topologies implemented in C++/STL/boost. Bruno Decraene, Anthony Lambert and me have submitted two patents. The first one fixes iBGP routing issues and solves the iBGP network design problem thanks to an intelligent mechanism for redistribution of BGP routes. The second patent extends the Metarouting project. It proposes efficient timers guaranteeing consistent routing during the network protocol (for instance BGP) convergence.

I have developped several features in HB++. HB++ is an IDE implemented in C with its own compiler and debugger able to generate very efficient programs for several mobile platforms (PalmOS, WinCE etc.). I focused my work on the regular expression engine and several parts of the WinCE runtime library such as WinCE widgets encapsulation.

Last year, I decided to definitely give up proprietary technologies. My current job consists in teaching Linux administration, including network, mysql, apache and system administration, C, C++, Java, shell, awk and so on. I try to promote free software by publishing several public articles here. I also administrate several LAMP architectures.
